Our new short film follows Outreach Worker, Liz, as she supports two people experiencing homelessness in Cornwall.

The film follows the recent launch of our Winter Appeal, which is raising vital funds to provide life-changing support during the coldest months of the year. The documentary follows our Outreach Worker, Liz, during a day in the life in her role across North Cornwall.

Our Outreach team play a vital role in supporting people who live in remote and rural areas, and are unable to access local support services. This is a crucial role during the winter months, as facing homelessness at this time is more harmful than ever. Thanks to our Winter Services, we are able to provide emergency accommodation and life-changing support to people who would otherwise be forced to sleep outside.

Since filming, one of the people featured has been placed in St Petrocs’ emergency accommodation and is receiving continued support to find stable housing.

Donated by Idenna Creative as part of their Stories for Change Initiative, the documentary was directed and filmed by Simon Reid, Idenna Creative's Head of Film & Photography, and who is a dedicated St Petrocs volunteer.

"It was a real privilege to work with St Petrocs. Being able to combine my profession and volunteering felt genuinely meaningful. No one deserves to be without a home, and I hope the documentary helps highlight the vital work St Petrocs carries out every day. ”

-Simon Reid,

Head of Film & Photography at Idenna Creative

"I’ve been homeless on and off for three years… It’s very lonely and it does play on your mental health… This is my third winter now, and it’s starting to wear a bit thin."

-St Petrocs Client, featured in the documentary
